Obituary of Donna Marie Lewis
It is with sad hearts that the family of Donna Marie (Gould) Lewis of Fredericton, NB announce her passing on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at York Care Centre. Born on October 30, 1946, she was the daughter of the late George and Sadie (Pike) Gould of Florenceville, NB.
Donna is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Joe Lewis; her daughters, Jayne Jones (Doug) and Rosanne Jones (Jamie) both of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Bradley, Adam, Sarah, Aaron and Anna; brother, Malcolm Gould (Jennie) Stouffville, ON; sister, Marilyn Hargrove (Gaz) Melbourne, AU; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Diane Richards (Peter) of Barrie , ON and Lois Wright ( Gary ) of Moncton , NB.
Donna was born in Shediac , NB and raised in Canterbury , NB. For a short period of time lived in Plaster Rock then moved to Fredericton , NB. Once her girls were of school age, she went on to explore new opportunities that lead to a rewarding career at the University of New Brunswick with the Faculty of Forest Engineering.
There will be a Private Celebration of Life for family and invited friends at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel. The family would like to thank the staff at Pine Grove Nursing Home and York Care Centre for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s society or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
