Memorial Donation
Donald Angus MacMillan, 67 of Judique passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at his home in Port Hawkesbury. Born in Judique, he was the son of the late Alex Dan and Mary Margaret (Gillis) MacMillan. Donald worked many years for the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal, and enjoyed his friendships with his co-workers. He liked watching Blue Jays and Maple Leafs games and a laugh while playing a game of crib. He had a deep love for family and a special fondness for his grandnieces and grandnephews.
He will be deeply missed by his sisters Sarah MacEachern and Mary Ann (Barry) MacMillan, both of Port Hawkesbury; brother, Neil Archie and sister-in-law, Mary MacMillan of Judique; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Dan Alex, Allan Joseph, Hughie John, James and Donald Archie; twin sister, Mary Flora; sisters, Christie, and Annie (in infancy).
Resting at Green’s Funeral Home, 507 Bernard St., Port Hawkesbury on Monday March 1st from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday March 2nd at 11:00am from St. Andrew’s Church, Judique with Rev. Allan MacMillan presiding; burial at a later date. Covid-19 restrictions will be respected. Memorial Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Canada, or charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Green’s Funeral Home, 507 Bernard St., Port Hawkesbury.
