Denise Stern
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Denise Stern on Monday, March 29, 2021, in her ninetieth year. Wife of the late Max Stern. Loving life partner of Sammy Dankoff. Daughter of the late Lorenzo and the late Louise Leblond. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Butchy Wiseman and life partner Sylvie Forget, Jo-Ann Wiseman Lebovits and Harold Lebovits, Gail Wiseman Heuff and the late Terry Heuff. Sister of Bernard and Gerald. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Jeff, Breanna, Dave (Gill), Justin (Jay), Zack (Elo), Jesse, Alex and Victoria; and great-grandchildren, Oliver, Henry and Simon. Up until the last few years, our mother lived a beautiful life. She was an avid golfer and skier, enjoyed bowling, bridge and time spent with her family and friends. She had true joie-de-vivre. Denise will be sadly missed by the Stern and Dankoff families and her many long-time friends. We would like to make special mention of her close friend, Ruth Sheiner, whom she considered like a sister. Our extreme gratitude and love to Sammy who showed his love and devotion to our mother throughout their life together. Special thanks to all those who helped her in her final days, especially those at the Palliative Care Unit at the Jewish General Hospital.
