Deborah «Debbie» MacDonald
1950-2021
It is with heartfelt sadness our family acknowledges the
passing of Deborah «Debbie» MacDonald on Saturday,
June 12th, 2021. Debbie was the daughter of Anne (Smith) and Norman
Power. Debbie was survived by her husband of 53 years, Waldren
«Fred» MacDonald; her children Angela (Scott)
Cruickshank, Lynn (Avery) Patterson, Kimberley (Paul) DesBarres, and
James MacDonald (Scott Saunders). Her pride and joy were her three
grandchildren, Emily and Will Patterson and Alexander
DesBarres. She is also survived by her sister, Judy (Spark)
Malin and extended family, Jessie Gaudette. Debbie enjoyed bookkeeping
for many different businesses over the years, many of which will miss
her special skills at tax time. She was a great cook and had the best
clams and pies in the valley. Debbie was a talented crafter, mastering
anything she tried including quilting and crocheting, but oil painting
was her favourite. She will be missed by many. A graveside service
will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021 in the Elm Grove
Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to
the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Funeral arrangements
have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation
Services, Kentville.
