Wonham, Deanna Marie
Passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 4th, 2021 at Kingston Health Sciences Centre – KGH. Loving wife of Steve Bedford and mother of Heyden Bedford. Survived by father Reg Wonham, her brothers Reg Wonham Jr, Danny Wonham and sister Roxanne Pascal. Predeceased by her mother Irene Wonham and sister Debbie. Loving daughter in law to Joan Bedford and aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Deanna has been a Warrior in her battle with cancer. During this battle she remained a strong and awesome wife, mother and friend. She has had an adventurous life, born in Sault Ste. Marie, she started her career as a flight attendant living in Calgary and the far north of Canada. She met Steve while working in Brampton, they then moved to Nelson, BC, then to Kitchener, ON, and finally to Kingston where they welcomed Heyden into their lives. Deanna loved outdoor adventures, being a sports mom, her Leaf’s/ Fronts, dinner parties, her big red Ram truck, and tending and enjoying her beautiful gardens and home.
We want to thank Steve’s sister Linda Kocur, Deanna’s friend Patti Favot and her home care nurse Brie for their loving extra support. We would also like to thank KGH Oncology, Palliative Care, Chronic Pain and the Nurses and Staff of Kidd 5 and 9 for the loving care and support Deanna received over the years.
Friends will be received on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Wartman Funeral Home -Kingston Chapel, 980 Collins Bay Road. Through all her adventures and battles, Deanna was always remembered for her kindness and happiness. We know she is now at peace but we will forever love and miss her.
