David Floyd
Melanson, age 61, passed away unexpectedly at
his home in Springhill. Born in Springill, David was a son
of the late Kenneth Lloyd Melanson and Helen «George Anne»
Reid.
David worked for some years in both New
Brunswick and Calgary Alberta but always said there was no place like
home, Springhill.
A real Mr. Fix-it, David specialized in
small engine repairs. He was always willing to give a helping hand to
all.
David is survived by his step-daughter,
Emma Vaughn and step-son, Michael Vaughn; uncle, Hugh (Teresa) Reid,
Halifax; aunt, Margaret Reid; cousin, Robb Reid Currie and best friend
Steve Varner, Springhill.
David was predeceased by his wife,
Shelley (nee Vaughn); brother, Hugh; step-mother, Jean Melanson; aunt,
Rosemary (Reid) Mullins; uncles, John and James Reid, and great uncle,
Neil Noiles
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5
McFarlane Street, Springhill, NS (902-597-2361). Honouring
David’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Graveside
Service will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 11:30 am at the
North Street Roman Catholic Cemetery, Springhill.

to the SPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice.
