It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Cory Johnathan Charles “Cardinal”, late of Saskatoon, SK formerly Sturgeon Lake, SK at the age of 38 years. Cory was born on March 16th, 1983 in Saskatoon, SK, and passed away June 9th, 2021 in Saskatoon, SK. Cory will be lovingly remembered by his special friend Natalie Shaun; his sister Lauren Cardinal; his brother Ronald Wapass; Arnold Wapass; Darryl Charles; Trevor Charles; his nephews Aidan Ballantyne; Dakota N.K Cardinal; his foster mom Martha Semeniuk (Dale); his colleagues and friend Sherry Maier, Morgan Modjeski, Dorian Greiger, & Nancy VanStyvendale; his uncles Clarence (Diane) Cardinal; Hector Cardinal; his aunts Florence Cardinal & Flora Cardinal; his cousins Janine (JO) Cardinal; Carmen Napope & Family; Shannon Arcand & Family; Shantel Cardinal & Family; & Tim Cardinal & Family. All those who fought alongside him, his friends, brothers, & sisters in arms who shared the same passion as he did. All those inmates incarcerated that he fought for better conditions, he is still with you all. Everyone who supported and believed in his dreams and goals. Cory was predeceased by his grandparents Sylvester Cardinal, Mabel Dumais, Elizabeth Charles; his parents Roddy Rudy Roy Cardinal, Pauline Elizbeth Charles; his uncles & aunts Paul Cardinal; Ralph Cardinal; Lee Cardinal; Louis Beads; Norman Partridge; Terry Charles; Russell Charles; Raymond Charles; Lee Charles; & Karen Charles; his favorite nephew Sundance Wapass; his cousins Cody Beads; Katie Partridge; Frances Ermine; Sonny Cardinal. Wake Service, Commencing June 14th & 15th, 2021, Leoville Hall in Leoville, SK. A Funeral Service will be Wednesday, June 16th, 2021 @ 2:30 PM at Leoville Hall in Leoville, SK. Honourary Pallbearers are Aaron Abbott, Tim Charolette, & Dakota Kennedy Cardinal as well as all those who shared in Cory’s life. Pallbearers are Aidan Ballantyne, Tim Cardinal.
