M. Corinne’s Obituary
LEBLANC, M. Corinne – age 93, Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Nakile Home for Special Care, after having a wonderful life. Born January 18, 1928 in Ohio, Digby Co., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lottie Gaudet. Covid was very hard on Corinne, as she moved into Nakile nursing home at the beginning of the pandemic, it was very hard on her not being able to see her family. Corinne was a homemaker, raising five children. Corinne always liked to dress well, as her and her husband Roy ran a clothing store. She loved to dance, listen to music, travel to warm destinations, having travelled to many places such as Cuba and Barbados. She was a passionate Bridge player, enjoyed playing scrabble and cribbage and had a very strong faith. She was a great cook, however at times after she finished making her recipe, she looked over to the side board and saw an ingredient that she forgot to put in, she would then laugh about the mistake. She enjoyed Sunday dinners and family gatherings, she often felt very lucky that none of her children moved away. She was a great lady, her family meant everything to her and she was her children’s biggest supporter, she would often tell them to learn from their mistakes, that everything would work out. Corinne was always calm, she never complained or asked for anything, as long as everyone else was happy, she was satisfied. Corinne is survived by her children Leon (Sandra) LeBlanc, Yvonne (Mike) Nickerson, Charline Burbine, Elaine (Ken) Nickerson and Chris (Jodi) LeBlanc; siblings Louis Gaudet and Ulysse Gaudet as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Aside from her parents Corinne is predeceased by her husband Roy LeBlanc, who would say that he was a very lucky man to have Corinne as his wife. Also predeceased are 5 brothers and 5 sisters. There will be no visitation. A funeral Mass will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada.
