It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of
Clifford E. Rector, 82 years of age, of
Springhill, NS, on Monday, November 1, 2021 at the Cumberland Regional
Health Care Centre. Born in Boar’s Back, Cumb. Co., Clifford was a son
of the late Hubert and Rita (Pettigrew) Rector.
Clifford loved a good game of Yahtzee and crib. He enjoyed
the outdoors and working in his vegetable garden.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Shirley (nee Grant),
Springhill; four children, Vincent (Angela) Rector, Amherst, Amanda
(Brian) Mills, Springhill, Paul (Kelly Hunter) Rector, Amherst, and
James (Brittany Garnson), Annapolis Valley, NS; grandchildren, John,
Amber, Brittany, Abby-Lynn, Dawson, Lindsay, Krista, Jason, and Kylee;
great grandchildren, Ella, Zoefia, Gabriella, Travis, and Amelia; his
siblings, Eileen (Brian McArthur) Rector, Lester (Marg) Rector, Gary,
Tim and Lou Rector, as well as several nieces and
nephews.
Clifford was predeceased by his parents.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the
A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane
Street, Springhill, NS. Honouring Clifford’s wishes, cremation has
taken place and there are to be no services at this
time.
