Clara Stuart passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 27, 2021 after a brief illness. Born October 24, 1935 in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, she was the beloved wife of the late Ron Stuart. Clara is survived by her adoring sons Bruce (Anita), David (Sam) and John (Lindsay). She was the cherished Gabba to Kaitlin and Russell, Grandma to Julian and Jacob, and special Great Grandmother to her namesake, Mackenzie. She was the loving sister of Peter MacKenzie and the late Anne Hawley, and daughter of the late Arthur and Eleanor MacKenzie. A kind, gentle and loving soul, Clara cared deeply for family and friends alike, especially in times of need. She was a friend to whoever she met, and opened her home and kitchen to her sons’ friends and partners. Her presence was calming to all who knew her and her quick and quiet wit always brightened the room. While we already miss her beyond words, we are comforted in knowing she is reunited with Ron, her high school sweetheart and husband of 57 years. The family wishes to thank the Chartwell Bridlewood and Carefor staff for their care, support, and friendship. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
