Cathie Irene Lovelace
June 15, 1959- March 12, 2021
Cathie passed away peacefully at the Espanola Regional Hospital on March 12, 2021 at the age of 61.
Daughter of Tom and Marie (nee Stringer) Lovelace (both predeceased).
She will be deeply missed by her loving partner Rene Lafond, children Amy Lovelace, Gisele Lafond, Luc Lafond and Rock Lafond (predeceased).
Loving grandmother to Mathieu Lafond and Kaden Lafond.
Great grandmother to Emma, Harli and Kynli.
Will be missed by close cousins Debbie, John and Larry Lovelace and many others.
Sister to Emerson Lovelace and Anne Marie Pine (nee Lovelace) and special aunt to Brandie Barton and Matthew Barton.
Caring friend to Nancy Bishop, Cheryl Graziosi, Mary Ann Gauthier as well as many work friends.
Cathie will join her parents Tom and Marie, her aunt Rena, Shirley and Darlene (nee Stringer) around the card table for a cup of tea, some good conversation and will add another Stringer laugh to the chorus.
She was a proud and infinitely devoted and loving mother to Amy Lovelace. Her friendship and endless support will be deeply missed. She was a dedicated and hardworking personal support worker who was well respected by her colleagues. Many good times were had out at Cooper Lake around the fire and making maple syrup. She will be missed by Rene’s many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and her laugh will be missed at the Lafond family gatherings’.
As per Cathie’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date with the interment of her ashes in Elmview Cemetery, Sheguiandah.
