Obituary of Carl Forsberg
Carl Forsberg passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the age of 95 years. When this bachelor farmer from Halbrite, SK married our mom, May Evans (1928 – 2014), he also ended up with two adult children and their spouses, Miles and Lorilee Evans, and Heather and Gary Folster; and eventually six grandchildren, Charity and Austin, Jason, Quenton, and Nathan and Courtney, and their subsequent families. Carl was a loving, kind, patient, and generous husband, ‘father’, grandpa, and Super Grandpa. Known for his plaid shirts and suspenders, he was always up on current events, and never missed watching a Blue Jays or Riders game. Carl was a gifted woodworker who meticulously crafted furniture, toys, and musical instruments – many of which are still showcased in his family’s homes today. We will greatly miss Carl’s gentle presence and will always hold dear our memories of him. He will also be missed by his brother Harry; sisters Stella and Flora and their families; and friends and neighbours from the Marian Grande and College Park. We are so honoured and blessed he chose us to be his family. A private family service will be held.
