Obituary of Capt. Gordon McNeill
Capt. Gordon passed away peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on December 22, 2021. Born on November 25, 1930, Gordon Harry McNeill of Owen Sound, was in his 92nd year.
Beloved husband for 63 years of Lois McNeill (née Cox). Loving father of Mike McNeill (Lisa) of Waterloo and Bob McNeill of Garland, Texas. Cherished grandpa of David, John and Nate McNeill of Texas and Breanna and Ashlynn McNeill of Waterloo. Also survived by his brother Alex McNeill and his wife Madelyn of Owens Sound.
Predeceased by his parents, Capt. Harry and Minnie McNeill (née Cook), and by his sister Florence Draper and her husband Bob.
Visitation will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250-14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Sunday, January 2nd from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service to celebrate Gordon’s life at 2:15 p.m. All attendees must provide proof of double vaccination and wear a mask. The service will be livestreamed and a video recording will be posted to Gordon’s memorial webpage. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
