God called Calogero peacefully on April 4th, 2021 at the age of 87. He will be forever cherished by his loving wife Maria. Adored father to Angelo (Maria), Sam (Anna), and Joe. Proud Nonno to Thomas, Daniel, Elizabeth, and Eva Marie. Remembered always by his siblings Angelo, Maria, Giuseppe, and Francesco. Calogero is reunited in Heaven with his parents, and his brother Giovanni. He will be held dear in the hearts of his many friends, family, and relatives. Visitations will be taking place at DeMarco Funeral Visitation Centre (8003 Weston Road, Woodbridge) on Sunday, April 11th from 2p.m.- 4p.m. & 6p.m. – 9p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 12th at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church (100 Bainbridge Ave., Woodbridge) at 9:30 a.m. A private entombment will follow. If so desired, donations in Calogero’s name may be made to Sunnybrook Research for Cancer, or Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
Now that York Region has moved to a “Grey Zone”, public visitations will allow a maximum of 25-50 people in attendance per visitation room. All attendees must be scheduled by appointment only to attend the visitation as well as for the service. Scheduling will be arranged through our website. We kindly remind all guests who are coming to pay their respects, to always remember to practice physical distancing and to avoid all physical contact.
Please note that it is now mandatory by the Government of Ontario that all family and friends attending any type of funeral service, must be wearing a facial covering.
