Beverley’s Obituary
Beverley Ann Rushton, 75, Oxford Junction, passed away peacefully with family by her side, on Monday, July 12, 2021, at East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash. Born in Gaspé, Quebec she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Margaret Wellington. She loved her family unconditionally and they brought her great joy. She loved to spend time with her immediate and large extended family and was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with all of us together. It was always time filled with food and laughter, some dancing/listening to music and possibly a game or two of crib. She was always up for anything, loved road trips, the beach, and was a social butterfly. She was an amazing woman with much strength, never complained, and just kept going no matter what life threw her way. We greatly admired her. She leaves this world cherished. She is survived by daughter, Ann (Mark); daughter, Gail (Phil); son, Ken (Sue); grandchildren Haris, Gracie, Meaghan, Jessa, Caleb, Jennica, and Jeremy; sister, Heather (Kerry) Kaleta; brother-in-law Gord (Betty) Wills; sister-in-laws, Joan, Linda and Betty; and many much-loved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Phil; her parents; her sister, Diane; an infant brother, William; an infant grandson, Matthew; and many special brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the wonderful front-line staff at East Cumberland Lodge who took care of Mom with love and patience. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mom’s memory to an animal shelter or to Hope for Wildlife, NS (hopeforwildlife.net) given her great love for animals or a charity of your choice. There will be visitation at MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home from 2-4pm on Saturday, July 17. The family will have a private graveside service at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery, Oxford.
