Went peacefully to be with her Lord & Saviour at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Thursday June 10th 2021 in her 76th year. Betty was born in Cornerbrook NL to the late George and Hettie Penney. She will be dearly missed by her beloved husband Robert. Loving mother of Gail Forsey (Roger), Lynn Budd (Rhonda), Tara Zekveld (Bob); step mother of Glen Smith (Deborah), and Samantha Parsens (Jeff). Proud grandmother of Cheryl (Peter), Michael, Andrew, Tristen, Tatum, Amanda (Dylan), Emily, Sarah and great grandmother of Asher, and Dexter. Dear sister of Ella, Hazel, Winnie, Joyce, George; predeceased by Mildred, Jeanette, and Vera. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her many family and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E Orillia by appointment only on Monday June 14th from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Due to Covid- 19 restrictions attendance is limited and must be pre-booked. Please call (705) 327-0221 Saturday or Sunday between 9am -5pm for an attendance time.
A family invitation only Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. which will be live streamed to the public (please see Betty’s profile on the funeral home website for the link, 30 minutes prior).
