It is with profound heartbreak that we announce the passing of Beth Marie Reid (Brewer) of Fredericton, NB, precious wife of Terry Brewer, on July 1, 2021 at Hospice Fredericton. She was born on January 2, 1955 in Holtville NB. She was the daughter of Izella (Calhoun) Reid and the late Peter Reid.
Beth had a very long professional career spanning roughly 35 years working as a Commercial Account Manager for TD and HSBC, and Consulting work. Beth was very passionate about gardening. It was not just a hobby it was her vocation and she took great pride in her flowers, and received many accolades
Beth is survived by her step-son Kirk Brewer (Laura) and step-daughter Kary Carmichael (William); brother Eddy Reid (Judy), Billy Reid (Brenda) and Hale Reid; sisters Ruth Reid (Chris) and Mary Myck (Kevin); Beth had very special nieces and nephews Chris, Maggie, Marlee, Braedyn, Jessica and Chelsea; 6 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Corrine Brewer and Pam Brewer (Rodney). Besides her father she was predeceased by her nephew Jason Blinco; mother-in-law and father-in-law Merlin and Shirley Brewer.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, July 5, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Celebration of Beth’s life will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 2 pm with Rev. Kelly Higgins officiating. Due to the current health concerns the service is by invitation only, the service can also be viewed by registering through the Funeral Home’s Website (Click on link in Beth’s obituary). Interment will take place in the Sunny Bank Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice Fredericton Hospice Fredericton – Palliative Care or Student Hunger Program through the Fredericton Community Kitchens Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
