COONS, Bethel Donna; Passed away peacefully at Hospice Peterborough on Sunday, July 25th, 2021, at the age of 85. Bethel is predeceased by her husband Jim Coons. She is survived by her loving children Lara (Al) Coons-Oosting, and Cal Coons (Jean Greig). Grandmother of Jason (Christa), Ian (Jackie), Megan (Tyler), Eric, and Chris (Rachel). Great-Grandmother of Hudson, Jackson, and Leo. Sister of Del Calvert (Debbie) and her late sister Glenna. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Lavina Calvert. Special friend of Rip Sanders. Bethel wanted to thank all of the musicians in the area who provided the wonderful music she enjoyed so much. In her last days she remembered fondly her family friends, neighbours, and the nurses she trained and worked with during her lifelong career in nursing. The family extends special thanks to the Palliative Care Teams at P.R.H.C., at home, and especially at Hospice Peterborough. Internment has taken place at Lakefield Cemetery.
