Berry, Bertha Belle, Overton passed away on September 25,2021 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth she was a daughter to the late Harold and Margaret (Watkins) Nickerson. Bertha loved going for Sunday drives with her husband Bernard to all the local wharfs, since fishing and the fisheries were a major part of their lives. She was an animal lover and especially her cat, Blackie who held a special place in her heart. She is survived by her daughters, Rose (Karl), Milton Highlands; Margaret (John), Yarmouth; sons, Bernie (Karen), Milton Highlands; Gordie (Hollie), South Ohio; Robert (Janet), Overton; grandchildren, Jesse; Chelsea; Sara; Nick; Brad; Dylan; Jeffrey; 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Bernard; brother, Carl. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Interment in Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the SPCA.
