Obituary of Bernice Barbara Anderson
Anderson, Bernice Barbara (Brownlee)
May 13, 1933 – September 11, 2021
Bernice passed away on Saturday, September 11th, 2021 at Lakeridge Ajax-Pickering Hospital at the age of 88 years with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jack Anderson (2014), happily married for 58 years. Bernice was the loving mother to her sons Dave (RoseAnne), Dan (Anne), Dale and Dean (Kim) and grandmother to grandsons Ryan, Clay and Jon, and granddaughters Talia and Brittany. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bernice was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Cloris Brownlee, her brother Don Brownlee and sister Edith Greer. She was the sister-in-law of Patricia Brownlee, Bill (Mary-Jo) Anderson, Bev (George) Drysdale, Jack Clark, Rhoda Anderson, and the late Jim and Lois Healey, Ken Anderson, Bonnie Clark and Jim Dempsey. Bernice will be fondly remembered by her many friends in the Barry’s Bay area. She worked for many years in the local hospital and later as the Director of Nursing at the Valley Manor nursing home.
Friends are invited to join the family for visitation at Blair and Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, Perth on Friday, September 17th, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Bernice’s graveside ceremony will be held at the Highland Line Cemetery in McDonalds Corners on Saturday, September 18th, 2021 at 11:00 am. In honour of Bernice, memorial contributions to St. Francis Memorial Hospital in Barry’s Bay or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
