Bernice’s Obituary
WHELAN, Bernice – Passed away peacefully on Monday, February 8th, 2021, at her residence in Colliers, Bernice Whelan – Age 78 years.
Predeceased by her husband Willie; parents: Leo and Mary Ann Wade; twin brother Alfie; brothers: Role (Marg), and Jim (Alice); brother-in-law Frank Whelan; sisters: Helen, and Stella; sisters-in-law: Agnes (Mickey) Costigan, and Mary (George) Dunn; niece Belinda Wade, and nephew Rolie Wade.
Leaving to mourn daughters: Neacey, and Sandra (Tracey Morrissey); son Alfie; sister Dolores (George Deceased) Fewer; nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; great-great nieces and great-great nephews; a large circle of friends; including special friends Margie Foley, and Harold and Maureen Noseworthy; and special neighbours John and Marg Hann. Also her fur buddies Mickey and Rocco.
Resting at Flaherty’s Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, with visitation on Tuesday, February 9th, from 2:00pm-9:00pm, and Wednesday, February 10th, from 10:00am-9:00pm. Respecting COVID-19 Regulations, please remember to practice «Social Distancing» during the visitation.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place from Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Colliers, on Thursday, February 11th, 2021, at 10:30am.
Interment to follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Colliers, in the Family Plot.
