Bernard Gordon «Bunny» Levy
1931-2021
Bernard “Bunny” Gordon Levy. Age 89, Rosedale Home for
Special Care, New Germany, passed quietly on July 3rd 2021, at South
Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Lunenburg on November 18th 1931, he was the son of the late
Aubrey and Florence (Feindel) Levy.
Raised in Lunenburg, he was a proud graduate of the Lunenburg Academy
and went straight to work at the Bank of Montreal. He was the
Co-owner/Operator of Bridgewater Laundry and Dry Cleaners. Bunny was
a member of Trinity United Church, Mahone Bay, where he filled many
roles over the years. He enjoyed giving of his time to serve the
community and was a member of several organizations where he proudly
dedicated countless hours. He was a very avid Bridge player and a
member of several bridge clubs. Over the years he enjoyed a variety
of leisure activities such as reading, boating, working with wood and
travelling.
Bunny is survived by his son, Wayne (Janine) and two daughters,
Janice, and Karen (Gary) Covey; three grandchildren, Stefan and his
mother, Veronica Daurie; Christina and Matthew; two great
grandchildren, Arya and Tristan; sister-in-law, Shirley Burgoyne;
niece, Shelley and nephew, Blair; several cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marie (Ernst); son, Robert; and infant
sister.
There will be no funeral service. A family graveside committal will
take place in Park Cemetery, Mahone Bay, Rev. Bob Gardner
officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to The Ark; Hillsview Acres Home for
Special Care or Rosedale Home for Special Care.
