Obituary of Bernadette Charlotte Haaima
With deep sorrow and much love, the family of Bernadette Haaima announces her passing, peacefully and surrounded by her family in her home on May 14, 2021.
Loving daughter of the late Elizabeth Pozobut, Bernadette will be lovingly remembered by Larry, her husband of 45 years; her children Sherry, Paul (Laura), and Laura (Jason); her grandchildren Anna, Sam, Isaac and Nathan; her great-grandson Windsor; special niece Carrie; siblings Dieter, Marty (Lynn), Anita (Yvan) and Kevin (Dianne); the Haaima family; and countless others whose lives she touched.
Bernadette left a lasting impression on all those who knew her and her love for her husband, family and friends was selfless and inspiring. She loved sharing a laugh, flowers, fuzzy blankets, beaches, campfires, sunsets and thrift store shopping and these things will bring us comfort as we deal with this tremendous loss.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, Renfrew on Wednesday May 19th from 8:00 -9:00 pm. DUE TO THE CURRENT RESTRICTIONS REGARDING COVID-19, TEN PEOPLE ARE PERMITTED AT THE FUNERAL HOME AT ANY GIVEN TIME – FACE MASKS/COVERINGS ARE REQUESTED FOR THE FUNERAL HOME. A private Liturgy on the Word will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church on Thursday May 20th . A recording of the service will be available for viewing on the funeral home website on Thursday after 3pm.
Donations in Bernadette’s memory may be made to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Oncology Unit.
