In Loving Memory of Ben Petersen
1924-2021
Ben (Bent) Schack Petersen passed away peacefully in his sleep at Brookhaven Care Centre Hospice in West Kelowna on Sunday November 28, 2021, at the age of 97 years. Ben is lovingly remembered and missed by his loving family; children: June Elaine Petersen, Lloyd Malcolm Petersen (Carol Elaine), and Glenn Adair Petersen (Ronda Lee); his grand children Neil, Jessica, Lisa, Matthew, Jordan and Caitlin; his great grandchildren Link, Lena, Carter, Tyson, Jax, and Bowen; his brother Svend; and many more extended family. Ben was predeceased by his wife, Hedy in 2019.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Everden Rust Funeral Chapel, 1910 Windsor Road, in Kelowna on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Ben will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Hedy, at the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery, with immediate family in attendance.
The family wish to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Kelowna General Hospital as well as the Brookhaven Care Centre for their compassionate care. Also a big thank-you to the staff at Westwood Retirement Resort. Ben truly loved his time there.
