Obituary of Barbara MacEachern
The death of Barbara Ann MacEachern, 72 of Porters Lane, Westville occurred on Saturday, March 20, 2021 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with her family by her side.
Born in Toronto on September 13, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Winnifred (Kelly) Roberts.
Barb moved from Toronto to Westville several years ago and worked as a cook in various restaurants and most recently at Benvie’s Taxi. She enjoyed cards, sing-alongs and especially bingo but most of all enjoyed her family and friends.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter Jo Druhan, Toronto; her son David Druhan (Wanda), Green Hill; chosen daughter Diane Barnett (Al), Mississauga; grand children Samantha Fraser (Chris); Brett Druhan; Daniel and Keith Barnett; great grand son Nolan Fraser; brother Allen Roberts, Toronto; companion Paul Whynacht; a nephew and two nieces.
She was predeceased by a brother Rowland.
A public visitation will be held on Tuesday with family receiving visitors from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home. Masks are required. A public funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from Eagles Funeral Chapel with Major Dan Roode officiating. Registration is required to attend the funeral service only. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
