Obituary of Audrey Margaret Trifina Manuel
Passed peacefully away on December 17, 2021, Audrey Manuel, at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Center, Botwood. She was 87 years of age. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Gladys Sharron; brothers Ronald, Harvey, Scott Sharron.
Audrey was born to the late Robert and Gladys Sharron on January 3, 1934 and grew up in Pt. Leamington. At the age of 16, she moved to Botwood to work in the Botwood Stores. She met for a driving lesson and later married the love of her life, Herbert on March 27, 1954 and together raised four children. Audrey cleaned the offices at Botwood Abitibi Price for many years. Her passion was volunteer work, which included many areas: She was a proud member of Jubilee Pentecostal Temple and at one point or another volunteered in every area (except Men’s Fellowship), Dr. Hugh Twomey Ladies Auxiliary, school student aide and breakfast program, Emmanuel Convention Center, Salvation Army Christmas Kettle/Hamper Program and more. Audrey was a great cook, baker, quilter, crocheter, seamstress and made dresses for all special occasions (grads and weddings).
Audrey loved her family more than words can say, and always wanted to spend time with them as much as possible. She sponsored a mission’s child for many years and her love for her community was evident in her work at the Botwood Interfaith Goodwill Center where she served on the Board and was Treasurer since its opening in 1992, up to only days before being admitted to CRHCC in October of 2019. She was well known and loved for her compassion and kindness to all.
She will always and forever be in our hearts. She leaves to mourn her husband Herbert Manuel; sons Wayne (Maxine) Manuel, David (Debbie) Manuel; daughters Darlene (Boyde) Brent, Sherrylyn (David) Kean; grandchildren Christopher, Jonathon, Jeffrey, Emily, Sarah, Michael, Jessica; great-grandchildren Hailey, Lauren, Austin; sister Mildred Boone and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm from Hoskins Funeral Home, Botwood. Pastor Moral Bess will conduct the funeral service from Jubilee Pentecostal Temple on Sunday 2 pm followed by interment at the Pentecostal cemetery, Botwood. Both the Vaxx Pass and Photo ID will be required for visitation and the service. Pallbearers will be son Wayne Manuel, grandsons Christopher, Jonathon, Jeffrey Manuel, sons-in-law Boyde Brent and David Kean. Honorary pallbearers will be son David Manuel and daughter Sherrylyn Kean.
