Audrey Viola Jean (Self) Walters passed away peacefully in the presence of her family, at Royal Terrace, Palmerston on Sunday, February 28, 2021 in her 93rd year.
Beloved wife of Ivan Walters for 73 years.
Mother of Wayne Walters of London, Diane Ballantyne (Brian Walkom) of Mitchell, and Barbara Wakeford (Chris) of Palmerston, and mother-in-law of Beverly Walters of Clifford.
Remembered by her grandchildren Angela Walters (Lionel Heffernan), Nicholas Walters (Melissa Kohorst), Rebecca Walters, Stacy Ballantyne (Justin Burnett), Matthew Ballantyne (Baily Bulmer), Ashley Mitchell (Matt), Joshua Wakeford, and Madison Wakeford, and by her great-grandchildren Destiny Walters, Trent Walters, Rachael Heffernan, Austin Buchanan, and Zoe Mitchell.
Sister-in-law of Dorrell Boles of Kitchener, and remembered by her nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her sons Bruce Walters, and Larry Walters, and by her brothers and sisters Carl, Cleve, Lloyd, Harold, Mildred, Fern, Muriel, and Wilhelmine.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Royal Terrace, Palmerston for their loving support and excellent care of Audrey while she was part of their “family”. Words can never fully express how their kindness and patience extended to her family during the past few months was appreciated.
Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Wednesday, March 3rd from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, visitors must schedule a time to attend on the funeral home website, or by calling 519-338-2441. Everyone attending must wear a mask.
A private family funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 4th at 1:30 p.m. Please do not attend. Instead, the service will be live-streamed and we ask you to watch safely from your home.
Interment in Harriston Cemetery.
Memorial donations to Zion Amabel United Church, Sauble Beach would be appreciated.
