Keyes, John Arthur
1927 – 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Arthur Keyes announces his passing on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Kingston General Hospital. He was in his 95th year.
Beloved husband of his wife of 68 years, Geneva (nee Robinson).
Loving Dad of Nan (Paul), Diane (Mike), Dean (Caroline) and Joanne.
Proud “Poppy” to Grandchildren Gregg (Kelsey), Bethany (Jeff), Joel (Becky), Blake, Julie (Shawn), Jordan (Ashley), Lauren and his Great Grandchildren Ellie, Easton, Rory, Addy, Lachlan, Grant and Emmett.
Arthur was the dear brother of Winn McKnight (Russ, dec.), Ken Keyes (Carrie, dec) Lorne Keyes (Riggie, dec) and Sister-In-Laws Linda Brown (Wayne) and the late Barbara Reid (Stratton, dec). Arthur will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family friends and Wolfe Island community friends.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to James Reid Funeral Home in Kingston. There will be a visitation on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Due to limited space; visitation is by appointment only. Please call James Reid Funeral Home at 613-544-3411 between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm to book a time slot. Those arriving without an appointment time may be turned away.
A private family graveside service will be held at Point Alexandria Cemetery on Sunday, June 13, 2021.
Donations in memory of Arthur may be made to the Wolfe Island Fire Department or the Wolfe Island United Church Cemetery Fund.
