Anthony Tony Dielschneider 1922 2021

Obituary of Anthony Dielschneider
Anthony Dielschneider was born on February 25, 1922 on an acreage outside of Primate, Saskatchewan to Christopher and Josephine Dielschneider. He was the second oldest of seven children.
Tony went to school until grade 8 and worked on the farm until he was 25 years old. During the winter months he worked in lumber camps. When he left home, he went into grain buying in various towns in Saskatchewan. When he was 28 years old, he ended up in a small town called Anglia, Saskatchewan, where he met his wife, Shari. They bought a grocery store together and they began a family of four children. After eight years, it was time to move onto Perdue, Saskatchewan, then to Holdfast, Saskatchewan and to Allan Saskatchewan, where they tried running a Hotel for a year. It was not the life they anticipated so back to the store business.
They moved to Harris, Saskatchewan and then finally to Beechy, Saskatchewan in 1963 where they ran the General Store for 25 years.
Tony retired at the age of 65 years. Now what? The best was yet to come. Tony and Shari had grandchildren and they did a little traveling. In between those times Tony was NEVER idle.
He will be remembered for his homemade raspberry wine, his noodles (which had to be flipped with his left hand only!), his homemade wine, sausages, homemade wine, cheese and yes, homemade wine. Tony also loved gardening, especially potatoes. He took great pride in cutting his lawn just so.
He spent many hours giving to the community of Beechy, Saskatchewan. He was on the Town Council, Credit Union Board, Home Care Board and he was President of the Senior Citizens for many years.
Tony always enjoyed sitting around the kitchen table with family and friends whether it was drinking coffee, enjoying Shari’s home cooked meals, playing cards, or partaking in the happy hours. There were always many laughs and camaraderie. There was an open-door policy for absolutely everyone!
In 2017, Tony and Shari opened a new chapter in their lives when they joined Tony’s two sisters in the Hillcrest Lodge at Provost, Alberta. There they continued to meet new friends and welcome family and old friends in their new little abode.
In November 2020 Tony took sick and was in the hospital for six weeks. From there he moved into Long Term Care for two weeks.
Tony passed away at the Provost Health Centre on January 2, 2021 at the age of 98 years.
He is lovingly remembered by his family, Wife, Shari; Daughter, Vicki (Larry) Greenwood; their children, Shawnda (Tom) Blacklock, Damon (Melissa) Klatt, Deon (Skye) Klatt; Great grandchildren, Maddison (Nate) Smart, Max, Avery, Ayden, Finlay and Casey; Great- great grandson, Winston; Daughter Karen (Ben) Richardson and their children, Jenna (Marcus), Cole (Lisa); Great grandchildren, Blayke and Rhett; Daughter, Kelly (Gary) Ward and their children, Logan (Vanessa), Lucas (Kirby); Great grandchildren, Max, Marek and Magnus; Son, Dale Dielschneider and his stepson, Brandyn Alexander.
