It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Tony Dolphin, at Lakeridge Hospital, Oshawa on Thursday, April 15th, 2021 at the age of 76.
Born in Birmingham, England on July 26th, 1945, Tony and his young bride Sue, emigrated to Canada on May 10th, 1972. They settled in Bramalea/Brampton, where they raised their two sons, Chris and Andy and made a new circle of dear friends. After a serious illness, Sue and Tony moved out of the City in July 2016, to the beautiful community of Cobourg along the shore of Lake Ontario.
Tony was able to enjoy two seasons of golf at Ash Brook Golf Club, where he enjoyed the company of many new friends, especially on the 19th hole! Unfortunately, due to his ongoing battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis, he was relegated to watching golf on the TV, but he still enjoyed the company of his new friends for a beer at the many local bars in the area.
Even though Tony left the UK almost 50 years ago, he remained an avid supporter of Birmingham City Football Club and continued to live in hope that England would win the World Cup once again.
Beloved husband of his wife Sue, proud father of sons Christopher and Andrew, and cherished younger brother of his sister Patricia; Tony will be missed by his many good friends in the UK and Canada.
You may wish to raise a glass in memory of Tony and/or make a donation to the Arthritis Society of Canada.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, due to COVID 19.
2021
