Obituary of Annie Kneisel
Kneisel, Annie
Annie Kneisel (1929 – 2021) passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 30, 2021 at the home of her daughter Sharon and son-in-law Bob in Kitchener.
Annie was the daughter of the late William W. and Ethel Cook, and wife of the late Ezra Kneisel (2010). She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Valerie Abrams (Doug), Beverley Long (Ron), and Sharon Skura (Bob), grandchildren Ian (Julie) Long, Stephanie (Brad) Baer, Jennifer (Mike) Hart, Allison (Doug) Villeneuve and great grandchildren, and will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Annie is survived by her brother Ken Cook and sister-in-law Helen Cook. Predeceased by her siblings Stanley Cook (Alice), Mervin Cook (Aletha), Allister Cook, Russel Cook (Rita), Ivy Mohr (Louie), Dorothy Beam (Vernon), Mae Morenz (Roy), and Eileen Roth (Walter).
Annie was a gifted artist in her younger years, and many of her oil paintings hang in the homes of her children and grandchildren. Later in life, Annie spent hours on beautiful needlework projects that are now framed and also proudly displayed by family members. She loved to read and thoroughly enjoyed playing Scrabble and cribbage with friends and family. Annie found delight in gardening and kept beautiful flowers on her deck and in her house. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed making meals for her family and friends. She loved to be with people and all who entered her home were made to feel welcome.
We are thankful for many years with mom and God’s blessings.
As per her wishes cremation has taken place.
