Obituary of Anne (Nancy) Bernice Woodman
Passed away on July 6, 2021, Anne (Nancy) Woodman, age 88 years, of Bishop’s Falls, as a result of a stroke and a long battle with cancer. Ann (Nancy), was born to Mary and Matthew Dillon on April 19, 1933.
She helped her mother to take care of farm animals while she lived home and then when she left home she met George Woodman of Grand Falls-Windsor. They married and had their only daughter Helen Woodman (Sutherland).
She was part owner/operator of Woodman’s Jewellers in Bishop’s Falls for most of her married life. She also loved to do gardening and loved her flowers and was in her garden every chance she got and her brother Gerald was also there with her. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a very quiet person and never said anything to or about anyone and was very easy going.
She was predeceased by her husband George Woodman; sisters: Jan (Bruce), Maureen (Chesley), Mary (Leo), Kathleen (Alex), Rita (Gord); brothers: Lennard, Watt (Angela), Carol (Bernice), Charles (Alma) and Robert (Chris).
She leaves to mourn her daughter Helen Woodman (Sutherland); grandson Robin Sutherland (Charmagne); granddaughter, Heather Waye (Anderson); great-granddaughters: Monica, Katelyn, Abigail; brothers: Gerald Dillon, Dan Dillon; sister: Karen Hong and lots of nieces and nephews.
Following Covid restrictions visitation will take place on Thursday, July 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 and the funeral service will take place on Friday, July 9th at 2 p.m.at St. Andrews Anglican Church in Bishop’s Falls.
Pallbearers are: Dan Sutherland, Roy Goulding, Doug Tucker, Fred Granter, Gerald Thorne and Ron Sheppard.
