GEARY, ANN ELIZABETH
With great sadness we share the death of Ann Geary at her Paris home, on July 13 after a long illness. Survived by her husband , Roy Skuce, her son Andrew Skuce, her sister Linda Geary , all of Paris, along with her niece, Elanor Doran Eden of Vancouver, and nephew Jonah Doran of Hamilton. At Ann’s request cremation has taken place, with no visitation or service. A strong supporter of her community, Ann was a founding member of the Brantford Potters Guild and the Paris Horticultural Society, and a President of the Paris Women’s Curling League. A gifted artist herself, she taught art at Paris High and BCI in the 1970’s. In 2002, she and Roy founded Green Heron Books. She, with Andrew, were awarded the Brant Heritage Award for the restoration of the Gem Theatre building, in Downtown Paris. We wish to thank the Palliative Care Outreach team, and the generosity and compassion of family, friends, long-time customers, and our fellow business members of downtown Paris. All of whom remembered Ann with such kindness. In lieu of flowers, donation to the SPCA would be appreciated. Online condolences and donation through www.wmkippfuneralhome.com
Ann loved daffodils, dandelions, her stray birds and animals, her 59 summers on Georgian Bay, and her store deck on the Grand River …And best of all, she loved us.
