Angeline’s Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Angeline Nina Lomond (nee Pearce) announce her peaceful passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Monday, July 12th, 2021 at the age of 84 years. Born in Cape Ray, NL, Angeline was the daughter of the late John and Rose Pearce (nee Barker). She was also predeceased by her husband; George Eneas Lomond, father and mother-in-law; Isaac and Esther Lomond, son; Jerome Doyle, brothers; Wilson Pearce, Leonard Pearce, Maxwell (Elizabeth) Pearce, Jerome Pearce, Lorne Pearce, sisters; Marie Borne, Violia Greer, Vivian Diddy, Madonna Pearce, niece; Lorna King-Pearce, brothers-in-law; Sidney Lomond, John Lewis Lomond, Harry Lomond, Albert Seymour, Reg Osmond, Fred (Ruth) Lomond, sisters-in-law; Edna Matthews, Betty Lomond, and Melinda (Isaac) Lomond.
Angeline leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories her very special friend; Albert Ingram, children; Jimmy (Tina) Doyle of Riverview, NB, Brian Doyle of Moncton, NB, Eneas (Linda) Lomond of Margaree, NL, Loretta Tavares of Brantford, ON, Eric (Charlotte) Doyle of New Waterford, NS, Linda (Larry) Ross, Glen Doyle, Laura (John) Vincent all of Brantford, ON, brothers-in-law; Bobby (Margaret) Lomond, Garf (Sandra) Lomond, Fred Matthews all of Port aux Basques, NL, Bill Borne of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, sisters-in-law; Rosanna Lomond, Evelyn Osmond, Elsie (Reg) Taylor, Gladys Seymour all of Port aux Basques, NL, Joan Pearce, and Marilyn Pearce both of Cape Ray, NL.
Angeline also leaves behind her sisters; Geraldine (Gordon) Osmond, Bessie Pearce both of Port aux Basques, NL, Ivy (Paul) Taverner of Cape Ray, NL, Jean Lee of Corner Brook, NL, brother; Clayton (Chic) Pearce of Brampton, ON, grandchildren; Brooke (Jamie) Doyle, Alex (Danielle) Doyle, Erica (Billy) Doyle, Tabitha Tavares, Danielle Howe, Tammy, Jessica Ross, Johnathon, Brandon Vincent, Adam, Ryan Lomond, twelve great-grandchildren, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
In keeping with Angeline’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 15th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. from St. John The Evangelist Church in Cape Ray. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 16th at 11:00 a.m. from St. John The Evangelist Church in Cape Ray officiated by Rev. Faye Coffin. Interment to follow at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, TCH, NL. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Angeline’s memory can be made to the St. John The Evangelist Church.
