Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Andreas Lagaris announces his passing. Andreas passed away peacefully surrounded by Eleftheria, his lovely wife of 53 years, and his two children, George (Joyce) and Vicky (Russell). He is survived by his five wonderful grandchildren Andreas, Antonio, Eleftheria, Marianna, and Katerina. Andreas was born in Andravida, Ilias, Greece on February 10, 1936. He was the fourth of eight children and is survived by his siblings Zoe, Panagiotis, Dinna, and Eleftheria.
Andreas immigrated to Canada in 1966. He was known for his tireless work ethic in the restaurant industry. He enjoyed frequent trips to Greece, visiting with family and friends. Andreas loved spontaneously opening his home for gatherings. He retired in 1989 and during his retirement he loved to garden and spending time with his beautiful grandchildren. Andreas will forever be remembered for his outgoing character, laughter, and love of life.
He will forever be missed!
A private family funeral service will be held. A recording of the service will be available shortly.
