Peacefully on Friday September 10, 2021 Alvin passed away at home just the way he wanted with his family by his side and his fiddle music playing at the age of 94. Loving husband of over 70 years to Joy. Dear father to Lorna (Chris Kurowski) and Dorothy (Paul Svendsen). Cherished Grandpa to Rebecca and Richard Kurowski and Erin (Lucas McCann) and Andrew Svendsen. Fondly remembered by his brother Fred Brownlee (Mary) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his cousin Hugh Latimer, his brother from another mother. We are extremely grateful to Dr. Terry Brennan for keeping Dad going for the last 28 years and then helping him to pass with dignity and grace. A celebration of dad’s life will be announced in the next few weeks. Those wishing may make a donation in Dad’s memory to St. Paul’s Anglican Church. The fiddler has hung up his bow.
