Obituary of Allan Bahm
June 8, 1933 – June 14, 2021
The family are saddened to announce the passing of Allan. He passed away peacefully at the Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital, Monday afternoon, June 14, 2021, in his 89th year. Dear husband of 63 years to Margaret Helen Bahm (Eastman). Beloved father of Janet Michelson (Steve) of Arnprior, Stephen Bahm (Shannon O’Meara) of London, and Laurie Jack (Todd) of Arnprior. Cherished grandfather of Dr. Allison Bahm (Sean Leathong), Adam Bahm (Lonna Shipman), Joshua Jack (Michaela Schreiter), Natalie Ryan (Karl), and step-grandfather of Kyla O’Meara-Ellis (Cory). Dear great-grandfather of Dean and Stanley Ryan, Abigail Leathong, Rayne Johnson and Zionna Bahm Shipman, and step great-grandfather of Liam, Launa, Tallia, Alyia and Quinlyn Ellis. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Margaret (Somerville) Bahm, infant brother Bernard and brother Clifford (Emma). Retired after 44 years with Playtex Ltd., Allan was an avid vegetable gardener and was known for his pickles and red pepper jelly. The family wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Garcia, Dr. Woods and the Nursing Staff at the Arnprior Hospital for their compassionate care. Allan’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. Visitations will be held Thursday June 17, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Friday June 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Boyce Chapel. Interment Sand Point Public Cemetery. Donations in memory of Allan may be made to Arnprior Regional Health or Grace St. Andrew’s United Church, Arnprior.
Due to COVID restrictions, attendance at the June 18 Funeral Service will remain private and will be Webcast Live for extended family and friends.
A limited number of people are permitted at the funeral home at any given time. Facemasks/Coverings and social distancing measures are required at the funeral home and cemetery.
