In loving memory of Alice Savoie (née Démoré), 85 years. Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 24th, 2021 at Pioneer Manor, with loving family at her side. Beloved wife of Alphonse Savoie predeceased in 2012. Dear daughter of the late Dorima Démoré and Célina (Legault). Loving mother of Donald (Gail), Michel (Nicole), Nicole (John Mazara), Gaetanne (Guy Rancourt), Rachelle (Kevin McConnell), and Robert (Melinda Purvis). Cherished Grandmaman of Eric, Daniel, Shawn, Christopher, Megan, Mathieu, Wesley, Steven, Tarah, Jake, Jessica, Tyler, and great grandchildren Noah, Jack, and Nathan. Dear sister of Florence Dupuis (Anthyme) both predeceased, Rita Guay (John), Simone Fontaine (Roger), Sylvio Démoré (Betty) both predeceased, Yvonne Johnston (Ted predeceased), Jeanne DuBreuil (Clifford predeceased), Anne Gascon (Claude predeceased), Gerry Démoré (Gloria), Alphonse and Rhéal Démoré (both predeceased). Special sister-in-law to Carmélia Savoie and Elda Savoie. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
A lifelong resident of Hanmer, Alice was a proud founding member of “Les Dames d’Auxiliaires des Chevaliers de Colomb”, Conseil 5005, Hanmer, since 1961. Through her lifetime as a business woman, Returning Officer, she sat on many committees to make our community better. She was also a devout Catholic and loved music. Mom will truly be missed but always in our hearts!
We would like to thank the Staff and her friends at Pioneer Manor (Ramsay Area) for the care and friendship that she acquired. She was always happy, with an angelic face and contagious smile.
Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home Hanmer/Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Drive, Hanmer. Friends may call 2-5; 7-9pm Monday. Facemasks are mandatory.
