Alfred Benjamin Bagg
November 26, 1933 – July 9, 2021
Alfred Benjamin Bagg, age 87, passed away peacefully at Columbia View Lodge on July 9, 2021. He was predeceased by his wife Lillian (2016), and brothers Norris, Colin and Clarence. He is survived by siblings Betty (Johnny), Verna and Ed (Delma), son Terry (Glenda) grandchildren; Jason, Laura (Steve) Ben and Eric and 3 great-grandchildren; Evan, Bryce and Riley.
Alfred was born and raised in Springside, Saskatchewan and moved to the Trail area with his brother Norris in spring of 1956. In the fall of ’56 he purchased the family home on Pine Ave in Fruitvale and over the following years built the home and property up to what it is today.
Alfred worked as a heavy-duty mechanic at various businesses around the Trail area and retired from Teck in 1993 which allowed him to pursue his passion for hunting and target shooting with the West Kootenay Marksmen shooting club where he spent many an hour working on the range and socializing with the guys.
We will be holding a Celebration of Life on Monday, August 2, starting at 11:00am at the family home at 103 Pine Ave, Fruitvale. Stop by, share a story or two, and have a few laughs.
Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
We would like to thank the Home Care workers who assisted him for many years, and to the staff at CVL for their care and compassion. Donations in Alfred’s memory can be made to the Parkinson Society British Columbia or to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Alfred Benjamin Bagg July 9th 2021..
