It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Alexander “Alex” MacLeod, on Thursday, July 22, 2021, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He had a love of music (particularly Bluegrass) and was well-known for his sense of humour and kindness.
Alex is survived by his wife, Ann; daughter, Heather; son, Darryl (Nicole); grandchildren, Ann Sonia, Declan and Rowan; and sister, Olive Humphrey.
He was predeceased by his sister, Florence and parents, Murdock and Janet.
The family would like to thank the staff of 4A at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for the excellent care they provided to Alex.
There will be no visitation or funeral service, but a musical celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Alex may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
