It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Albert Nault on Friday October 22nd 2021 at the age of 90.
Son of Constable Albert Nault and Laurette (nee Dubois) and stepson of Leo Gascon (all predeceased). Loving brother to Eugene Suffel, Constable George Nault, Paul Nault, John Gascon and Richard Gascon (all predeceased).
Beloved and cherished husband of 64 years to Helen (nee Gascon). Loving and devoted father of Kathy Kaattari (Doug), Denise Blakely (Ernie), Sue Beaudry (Rejean), Caroline Teske and Al Nault (Kerri). Proud Pappa to Steven, Ashley, Sarah, Justin, Jennifer, Jessica, Hayley, Adam, Zachary, Aidan and Emma. Loving Great-Grandpa to Eloise, Brynlee, Jacob and Beatrice.
Bert was a proud air force veteran who worked 40 years as a stationary engineer for Vale.
He was so proud of his family and always enjoyed attending events and celebrations with them, especially watching his Montreal Canadians play as a true fan.
You could always find him reading a book or newspaper and his sense of humor gave us all big belly laughs.
He will be deeply missed and will remain eternally in our hearts.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the staff at Falconbridge Extendicare and the 6th floor HSN staff for watching over him.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10am Saturday October 30, 2021 at Holy Redeemer Church, 1887 Bancroft Drive, Sudbury, Ontario.
In his memory, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
