Allan Joseph (AJ) McGraw
August 26, 1993 – April 3, 2021
It is with great sadness that AJ’s siblings announce his passing on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the age of 27 years. Left to remember AJ are his brother Adam McGraw (Charlotte), his sister Amanda McGraw (Roy), nieces Destiny, Clara, Journey and Harmony and nephews Lucas and Riley, friends Alex, Carrie, Morgan and the Fluter and Leblanc families as well as various aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his beloved father and best-friend Leonard McGraw, favourite dog baby girl, all of his grandparents and “mom” Kelly Wall.
AJ was born in Saint John, New Brunswick. At the age of three he moved to Welland, Ontario with his family. He lived with his Dad in the Niagara region until his passing in 2017. AJ spent the following years trying to find new adventures and exploring his interests in life. He spent his last year in Niagara Falls where he enjoyed the views and gambling. While AJ didn’t like having his picture taken, he enjoyed taking photos of the places he’s been.
AJ will be remembered for his sense of adventure, mischief and high-energy. He enjoyed music and thunderstruck was his jam. He was T&T, he was dynamite, and often times you’d see him explode – whether that was into laughter or into a new idea. AJ had a good (sometimes twisted) sense of humour and enjoyed pranking his friends. He enjoyed bowling with his team, video games and playing king of the world. He liked working, travelling with the carnival and visiting different places, especially heading to New Brunswick or Saskatchewan to visit family.
AJ was a star that burned so bright that he burned out too soon. He will be truly missed by friends and family alike.
A small celebration of life will be held at a future date. Those who wish to honour AJ’s life can make a donation to the Canadian Mental Health Association or your local food bank in his memory.
