GILLIES, Wilma Mae (nee Walker)
Nov. 12, 1928- Dec. 27, 2019.
Passed away peacefully after a short illness at Ajax Pickering Hospital, Ajax, ON. Born on Thanksgiving Day in Mosa Township, Ontario to the late Russell and Flossie Walker. Dear mother of Grace (Bill Sheaves) and the late Douglas (2013). Loving grandmother to Brittany (Dave Sheldon) and Connor Sheaves, GG to Kara Grace Sheldon. Predeceased by her husband Murray (1991). Survived by her sister in law, Evelyn Walker, remembered fondly by her nieces, nephews, and cousins. Missed by special friends Dawn Bolduc, Dinah Whitaker, and Karen Simpson.
Wilma, a long-time resident of Strathroy, had worked at Lambert’s Flowers and later as a volunteer with various groups.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Saturday, September 5th, 2020 with a Graveside Service at Oakland Cemetery to follow.
