William Patrick McAdam

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William Patrick McAdam on Monday, November 23, 2020 at the Northside General Hospital at the age of 83.
Born in North Sydney, Bill was the son of the late Patrick and Mary Elizabeth (Poulan) McAdam. In early adulthood he worked on the Great Lake boats before returning home to work for John D. Steele & Sons Monuments. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in North Sydney and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 83, Florence.
William is survived by his daughter Christine Hatfield, North Sydney and his granddaughter Alicia (Michael Hillier), Halifax. He is also survived by two step brothers, Danny and Joey Tobin, both of Ontario.
Besides his parents, William was predeceased by his wife, Ann Marie (Jessome) McAdam.
Visitation for Bill will be held from 2-3 p.m. on Friday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon David Lewis officiating. Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be limited seating for the service, masks are mandatory and social distancing must be followed.
Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney.
