ALLEN, WILLIAM ERNEST ‘Bill’
At the Osgoode Care Centre on Thursday January 30, 2020, Bill Allen in his 88th year. Loving husband of Linda (MacTavish). Dear father of Judy (Dave Vardon), Lynn (Dan Coghlan) and Robert, children from his first marriage. Bill was blessed with six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister Joan Callahan. Bill will be fondly remembered by his inlaws, Ann Campbell of Ottawa, Connie (Dennis Cooper) and family of Metcalfe and Lorne MacTavish (Kathy) and family of Alberta. Deepest appreciation to Dr. Merrett, the nurses, PSWs and all the staff at the Osgoode Care Centre for the excellent care and comfort they provided to Bill. Bill will always be remembered for his sharp mind, quick wit and funny antics and his love of fiddle music. At Bill’s request services will be held privately in the spring. If desired memorial donations made to the Osgoode Care Centre, 7650 Snake Island Rd. Metcalfe, ON K0A 2P0 would be appreciated.
