Obituary of Werner Zapf
Werner passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at Hannah Walker Place in Owen Sound, on Monday, August 17, 2020. Born in Eschelbronn, Germany, on March 13, 1930, Werner Eugen Zapf of Owen Sound, was in his 91st year.
Beloved husband of the late Clara (née Windisch) Zapf for 68 years. Loving father of Johanna Losereit (Arnold) of Alliston, Robert Zapf (the late Joan) of Meaford, Nancy Zapf (Doug Balsdon) of Orillia and Sonja Hayward (Kent) of Annan. Cherished Opa of Leo, Danielle, Kodie, Reanna, Meagan and Great-Opa of Alexis, Kurtis, Corbin and Willis.
Predeceased by his parents Adam and Johanna (née Elder) Zapf, and by his siblings, Karl, Willie, Gerhardt and Fritz.
As per Werner’s request, there will not be any service at this time. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce are appreciated and can be made through the BRIAN E.
