Obituary
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Walter Gusse. Loving husband to Margaret; adored father of Nancy, Darcy (Kim) and Trudy (Alan); grandfather to five and great-grandfather to two. Walter was brother to Betty, Doris (Hubert) and Don (Elaine).
He was predeceased by brothers, Henry (Gerda), Bill (Erika); and brother-in-law, Wayne. He was also brother-in-law to Gertrude and Rudolph (Inge); predeceased by brothers-in-law, Jonathon (Elsie), Heinz and Gus (Lydia); as well as sister-in-law, Elfriede.
Walter was born on November 30, 1934, in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, where he enjoyed life on the family farm. He and Margaret moved to Kelowna in 1984 where, among other things, he spent time tending the garden, fruit trees and raspberries. The couple was active in their church communities wherever they lived. They moved to Edmonton in 2016 to be near to family, and we are grateful to have spent more time with them both. Walter passed peacefully at home on December 13, 2020 at the age of 86 years.
We draw comfort knowing that “those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday” (author unknown).
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
