Victor Edenoste, late of Regina, Saskatchewan, long time resident of Earl Grey, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully of esophageal cancer at his home surrounded by his family.
Vic (Barney) was predeceased by his parents Henry and Anna; his siblings twin sisters in infancy, Lena, Bertha (Bill) Wagner, Edward (Louise), Frank, and Evelyn (Bob) Saunders.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosemarie; sons Ross (Darlene), Neil (Georgia), and Tom (Claudette); four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Vic was a grateful member of AA, achieving nearly 55 years of sobriety. A much-loved chore of his was driving his half ton in the pasture checking his cattle. For many years he belonged to the Saskatchewan Hereford Association. Through it he was able to travel on the plane hauling Saskatchewan Herefords to Chile and travelled to an Agricultural Fair in Hungary which displayed Saskatchewan Herefords.
He and Rosemarie spent 26 winters in Mesa, Arizona. There he usually rode his bike to the woodworking shop where he found a new hobby. He also found out why Polish people love to dance.
A Private Graveside Service will be held at a later date in the Earl Grey Cemetery, Earl Grey, Saskatchewan.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Vic may be made to the Mizpah Group of Earl Grey or the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan.
