Obituary of Tony Theoret
It is with great sadness that the family of Anatole (Tony) Henri Theoret announces his passing on Friday, November 13, 2020, at the age of 66 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. Tony will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 15 years, Lisa and his children, Philip and Nicole (Michael), Tony will also be fondly remembered by his sisters, Maria Theoret, Cecile Theoret, Louise Theoret, Elise Dube (Yvon), by brothers Paul Theoret (Denise), Luc Theoret (Lorena), Maurice Theoret (Rhonda) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Sylvio & Angele Theoret.
Tony was a loving father and caring husband. As the eldest child of eight, he often assisted in raising his younger siblings on the family farm, showing his dedication to family. He will forever be remembered for his sense of humour, endless patience, and calm demeanour.
Many will remember Tony as the owner of Jack Pine Marine and from his time working for Tru-North Marine, as a talented marine mechanic. In his spare time Tony could be found camping, fishing, and spending as much time with his many friends and family as possible. He often reminisced of his annual trips to Besnard Lake where many fond memories were made. A devoted catholic, Tony was proud to serve as a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the many healthcare workers that worked tirelessly to provide support and comfort to Tony in his final days. With help from numerous nurses, care aides, and doctors, the family was able to ensure he was peaceful and comfortable and surrounded by family. Thank you to the HomeCare team for their support and cheerful attitude – Tony looked forward to your daily visits. While in the Prince Albert Victoria Hospital nurses Dawn, Elizabeth, Jay, and their teams provided the utmost care and knowledge. Thank you for your dedication, excellence, and comforting support.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 between 6:00pm and 8:00pm at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 28th Street West in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. At the viewing, there will be an opportunity to provide sealed written condolences and memories that will be included in the casket. In respect of Covid19 health regulations, masks will be mandatory. A private family funeral mass will be held on Saturday Nov 21, with a recording of the funeral made available by Gray’s Funeral Services look for the link here subsequent to the service. A private interment will follow at Saint Isidore de Bellevue Roman Catholic Cemetery in Bellevue, Saskatchewan where he will be buried alongside numerous family members.
