It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Thomas (Tom) Michael Keough at home. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, and faithful friend, at the age of 77 years. Predeceased by his parents Andrew and Susanna Keough and his brother Alphonsus (Shirley) and his daughters Susan Elizabeth, Infant Baby Mary and niece Stephanie Anne. Leaving to mourn his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth (Liz) children: Deborah (Mark), Linda (Lloyd), Tom (Jenesta), Rosemary(Derek), Brian (Jackie), Trisha (Dean), and Keith (Patty) and grandchildren: Sheldon (Sarah), Nathan, Maxwell, Christopher (Kailey), Nicole, Morgan, Kaitlyn, Rachael, Stephen, Matthew and Mitchell and great grandchildren: Lucy and Zoey, his siblings: Jerry (Rosemary), Andy (Christine), Mary (Joel), former sister in law Elizabeth Armstrong and dearly loved nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephew. Included in mourning are extended members of the Keough, Aylward and Philpott families.
Our father was known to be an expert mechanic around town in his working life. He enjoyed many early mornings salmon fishing on the Gander and Conne Rivers. Dad had a great sense of humor who loved company and debating about politics. He gave the best bear hugs! Our father was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
At Dad’s request, cremation has taken place and a Family visitation will take place at Stacey’s Funeral Home on Monday, October 19, 2020 with Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery, Gander.
In honour of Dad’s desire for an Irish wake, we offer this verse.
The Parting Glass
So fill to me the parting glass
And drink a health whate’er befalls
